The furniture design of DoubleTree by Hilton Zhengzhou East District is centered on the integration of the culture of the Central Plains Academy of Classical Chinese Studies with a modern business and travel experience. Through a careful blend of materials, craftsmanship, and functionality, the hotel creates a space that blends cultural heritage with practical aesthetics. Located in the Zhengdong New District, the hotel is situated in the core business district of Zhengzhou East High-Speed Railway Station, adjacent to the East Plaza of the station and adjacent to the Zhengzhou East Bus Station.

Drawing inspiration from the Songyang Academy, the hotel incorporates the elegant aesthetics of Song Dynasty literati into its furniture design. The lobby's 8-meter-tall movable type wood mold wall, spliced together to resemble a mural, echoes movable type printing, a symbol of Central Plains culture. Decorative furniture such as screens and grilles in public areas emulate traditional motifs such as the circular pattern and ice crackle found on window lattices of antique buildings, rendered through metal etching or wood carving. While there are no books directly placed in the guest rooms, the geometric lines and warm wood tones of the bedside backrests allude to the idea of "a path through a mountain of books," creating a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of a "travel study."

Solid woods such as North American walnut and white oak are used extensively in guest rooms and public areas, including the frames and panels of wardrobes and desks. Their warm texture evokes the refined elegance of scholarly culture. Executive suite bathrooms feature double basins crafted from Yashi white marble and paired with rose gold metal faucets, blending Chinese elegance with modern luxury.

The furniture is primarily warm wood, accented with neutral tones like light gray and off-white, and accented with dark brown leather or brass metal, creating a layered visual effect. The guest rooms feature a no-main-light design, with a combination of multiple light sources, including bedside reading lights, wardrobe sensor lights, and floor-mounted night lights, ensuring functionality while creating a cozy atmosphere for "reading under the moon."
